This animation uses fictional demo data: a healthy website has an incident, an email alert is sent, monitor details show response history, and the website recovers. The animation is not a representation of check speed.

A few things you might be wondering

Clear answers. No fine print.

What can UpDownTracker monitor?

UpDownTracker can monitor websites, public API endpoints, page content, scheduled jobs, SSL certificate health and DNS signals.

How often are websites checked?

Standard website monitoring supports automatic checks every 5 minutes, depending on the configured monitor interval.

Will I be notified when my website goes down?

Yes. When downtime is confirmed, UpDownTracker can send an email alert. A recovery notification can also be sent when the service becomes available again.

Can I monitor an API?

Yes. HTTP monitoring can check public API endpoints and verify expected response behavior.

What is a content check?

A content check verifies that expected text is present on a page. It can detect cases where a website is online but important content is missing.

What is heartbeat monitoring?

Heartbeat monitoring is designed for scheduled jobs, backups and background tasks. If the expected heartbeat stops arriving, the system can detect that the task may no longer be running correctly.

Does UpDownTracker monitor SSL certificates?

Yes. HTTPS website monitoring includes SSL certificate health and expiry visibility.

Can I pause monitoring during maintenance?

Yes. Maintenance controls can be used during planned work to avoid unnecessary alert noise.

Is there a free plan?

No. There is no permanent free plan. Starter includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required, and the trial begins when you create your first monitor. All paid plans include the same core monitoring features. The main difference between Starter, Pro and Pro+ is monitoring capacity: 3, 25 or 100 monitors.

What happens when my trial ends?

Monitoring stops, but your monitors and history remain. A paid subscription resumes monitoring.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Manage billing through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.
